Hi,
Just wanted to share that enabling CONFIG_FB_NVIDIA in the kernel
config solved the issue.
Thanks,
Giuseppe

Hi,
I'm getting this issue on a Powermac G5 (dual 2.0Ghz processor) with
any kernel newer than 2.6.18 (I tried 2.6.26 and 2.6.30). The kernel
boots fine but then the screen freezes, whereas the boot seems to
continue fine in fact it responds to ctrl-alt-canc and I'm even able
to ssh to it. The last messages I see on the screen are something
that probably correspond to the mpic messages below:

Full log is attached but I can't find anything revealing on it. I
even tried with a newer kernel compiled with the same .config as the
one that works but no success.
Any help on this appreciated.
Thanks,
Giuseppe
