Hi! > Minor shortcommings are a lack of sun or ibm java
You can get the IBM Java JDK (which includes the runtime as well of course) from http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/java/jdk/linux/download.html Get the version for 32-bit iSeries/pSeries Machines and use make-jpkg to create a .deb package from the .tgz. I don't have a link for that handy but you can search the official ubuntu wiki for a description of this process. The "make-jpkg" command is included in the "java-package" Debian package, so you have to install that first. One additional note: The current version of make-jpkg does not yet know about Java 6 from IBM so you have to either change the filename of the dwonloaded .tgz or the corresponding string in the make-jpkg scripts.
