Dear Bart, unfortunately I could nothing but reproduce the bug without undertstanding it. Additionaly, starting the program from a X session on a 640x480 or 800x600 resulution makes the program segfault. I am using an iMac with a nvidia card and the free drivers. There are no proprietary drivers for us...
