Hi, The lowest I managed was: Modeline "1920x1200" 114.0 1920 1984 2016 2144 1200 1203 1206 1212 -HSync +Vsync but it did not suppress the problems (although they were greately reduced) However, as we say in French, "la nuit porte conseil" (sleeping provides advices), and I remembered that I read somewhere that on some dual head cards, not all ports were equal. This morning, I plugged the monitor on the port on the left hand side, and it works perfectly, without modeline. Many thanks for your help anyway, I would not have had the idea without the intense googling that your answers prompted me to do.
