Sorry brian, I don't bother what the man mount does say, as I use
hfsplus for some years now on at least 3 debian installations and two
Ubuntu. hfsplus is alive!
One thing you might to is apt-get install hfsplus as it is a package
within otherfs. And debian is well known not always getting the whole
thing done. On the other side, hfsplus is part of the ppc kernel 2.4
and 2.6.
There is such a thing as -t hfsplus.
