Once upon a time, this list was actually used for its purpose as declared on http://lists.debian.org/ports.html i.e. to discuss technical issues of the Debian powerpc port. Now this has disappeared almost completely. I can hardly remember the last time a query from another part of the Debian project about the status of a certain aspect of the powerpc port was actually answered on this list, most likely because a large portion if not most of the list traffic is OT these days, and I think this is very bad.
