Yes, I did find debootstrap eventually, and it is indeed what I need, just it wasn't very trivial to use it either - almost all necessary tools and libraries were missing in the original busybox-based distro, so, I ended up first installing some intermediate solution from somebody who has already installed Sarge on kurobox, and then running debootstrap to get a "virgin" Debian:-) > Suggestion B.
