I looked at the apple code again (unfortunately they didn't publish the latest darwin sources for the appleonboardaudio drivers) and the chip should definitely be on at address 0x46. Now the question why it doesn't respond... Maybe we have to set the hw-reset before trying to find it? That's going to suck. Well, the i2sbus could turn it on. Hrmm johannes
