Hi, I am wondering whether this bug is similar to the one on powerpc64... http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=338316 To avoid crashes, it may be better to be completely sure that the module is not loaded at all, by removing it from /etc/modules. (And for this reason, it would be safe to comment it out from the debian-installer for the moment, because when using the tab-completion, the computer tryes to beep, and wakes up the bug of the sound module...)
