I have upgraded to X.org 6.9 some time ago, and I'm experiencing a huge performance hit, compared to 6.8.2. It's not that bad (although noticeable) with XAA, but after I switched to EXA to get rid of this root window bug (the one that has been reported here several times) X became really sluggish and unresponsive. There are also some artifacts on the screen when I'm scrolling e.g. Nautilus or Firefox and get a notification from Gajim, or such.
It's really annoying, since a x86 laptop with an ancient SiS graphic card performs much better than my Mac. Is anyone experiencing similar problem? Is it ATI specific, PPC specific, or am I just plainly unlucky? Oh, for the sake of information, it's Mac Mini with ATI Radeon 9200, running Sid's X.org (6.9.0.dfsg.1-4) and kernel 2.6.15. I've attached my xorg.conf, it's kind of a mess but maybe it will help someone narrow down the problem. I couldn't find anything interesting in X logs, but they come as well. Thanks in advance. -- Andrzej Mendel
