Exact, the thing is you really have no idea if the improvement you see is from these patches, which sound dubious, or from passing from a 2.4.27 to a 2.6.8 kernel, especially as i think we stopped putting fixes on the 2.4 kernels around 1 or 2 years ago. > I will try the etch and sid kernels and report back on the results.
