Ok, I've looked more and the answer is: don't use uinput on 64 bits
machines with 32 bits userland. It's been designed (like the rest of the
input layer) in the worst possible way to implement compatibility with
32 and 64 bits. I could probably fix it with time but I don't have that
time at hand now. I've asked the maintainer but I'm not too hopeful.
