The wireless card seems to be detected seomtimes before the ethernet card in 2.6.12 and that breaks the /etc/network/interfaces configuration. See the log below. I know that 2.6.12 is old, but maybe that will point to the problem I have with 2.6.14.
I really don't know much about powerpc hardware and I'm worried there is something wrong with it. These three boots were done one right after the other. The first one complained about an invalid date, that's why it says Jan 1.
