Hello,
I have installed debian sarge using kernel 2.6 on a beige G3. It
installs fine, but when I try to boot into the new system using
bootx, the kernel panics because it can't find the hard drive. Is
there any way to make the kernel recognize the hard drive?
Thanks.
There will be demand for a little more info from your side - what are
your BootX settings? what filesystem did you install the new system on?
does the kernel have compiled in support for this used filesystem? what
exactly does it "say" when it panics? stuff like this, it usually get's
easier to pinpoint a mistake the more details are provided.
my 5 cents,
Christian
