Are you talking about the discussion we had on debian-powerpc a few days ago? If yes, then you perhaps misunderstood what I said. I said that I the method I use is to take the HFS floppy from woody and replace its kernel with a new generated, bleeding-edge kernel (taken directly from Andrew Morton experimental tree).
