gaah, I've forgotten something that came up on one list or another a while back... it had to do with a tool that generated a .deb package from a makefile or other procedure. Can't remember the name, but the process was something like:
./configure make [nameofthistool!] --type deb make install It doesn't generate fully compliant packages, but it lets you (un)install unpackaged software with apt-get and other such tools. Anyone remember what I'm looking for?? thanks, matt -------------------------- .''`.
