I think this is very strange :(. with kernel 2.6 you don't need to use scsi-emulation for cd-recording anymore, instead of giving something like 0,1,0 to cdrecord (or as option in k3b) you simply give the device name like /dev/hdc. I'd suggest you try just not loading the ide-scsi module, I had way less trouble with this approach compared to 2.4 with ide-scsi when the later was required.
