You can use two ways which don't involve os 9 and bootx, i suppose you are running an oldworld machine, if not, yaboot cdrom booting should work just fine. You can either use the miboot d-i floppies found at : http://people.debian.org/~luther/d-i/images/daily/powerpc/floppy/ (or http://people.debian.org/~luther/d-i/images/daily/powerpc/floppy-2.4/ for using 2.4 kernels) Both should work fine starting with tomorrows daily build, altough the different driver and additional component floppy are a bit messed up right now, and loading more than one floppy is still possible only with a kludge. We will fix this next week though. The other possibly involves accessing the Of directly through the serial console, and booting the .coff kernel below, altough i have had reports of the initrd being too big for some oldworld firmware implementations. http://people.debian.org/~luther/d-i/images/daily/powerpc/netboot/vmlinuz-coff.initrd Friendly, Sven Luther
