I recently took a known good build on a 8500/G3 and transplanted it into a 8600/350ev. Everything is fine except i have found the following stock kernels do not boot 2.4.18 (was the 1st boot option on the 8500) 2.4.20 from ppckernel.org (bk build) 2.6.7rc-1 also from ppckernel.org
the 2.4 kernels do not even get to a black screen, the 2.6.7 kernel fails after detecting the serial ports. ATM the device is running happily with a 2.2.20 kernel.
