Yes it is. The alsa-bk-2004-08-26 patch was released after the 2.6.8.1 Linux kernel release. A first attempt to solve the "beep issue" was present in the alsa-bk-2004-08-15 patch, too. I suppose the code was mainly based on the patch posted in this mailing list by Julien Blache. http://lists.debian.org/debian-powerpc/2004/06/msg00552.html https://bugtrack.alsa-project.org/alsa-bug/bug_view_page.php?bug_id=0000459 Unfortunately the alsa-bk-2004-08-15 patch still had some problems. It prevented the snd_powermac module from being built successfully and, before the new release, another patch from Elimar Riesebieter was required in order to manage to build it. http://lists.debian.org/debian-powerpc/2004/08/msg00470.html https://bugtrack.alsa-project.org/alsa-bug/bug_view_page.php?bug_id=0000463 > And will be incorporated in the main tree > nextly if not done already ?
