Ok, I have tried to build a new kernel that uses initrd (but keeping ide support built-in). The kernel boots, goes up to USB detection, and then freezes instead of panicking as it did without initrd.
Any idea ? Sam -- All ITS machines now have hardware for a new machine instruction -- BFM Be Fruitful and Multiply. Please update your programs.
