That would be a pretty good number, even at depth 16.

xlibmesa-gl1-dri-trunk might perform better than xlibmesa-dri. Also make
sure you're running a current 2.6 kernel or using the DRM built from
drm-trunk-module-src, and that AGP is enabled.
