Hi.. I tried configuring eth0 as static also, and specified the DNS servers 
that the ISP provides (not the router's 192.168.0.1 address)... still no luck. 
Also, the ping was by the server name, not IP address. The /etc/resolv.conf 
file has nameservers that the ISP uses, not the router's address. Tried 
changing it to the router's address also but that didn't work.. Due to the same 
problem (I presume), I can't ssh into any server either. Oh, one more thing, 
when it's trying to apt-get update, it shows the server's IP address also in 
addition to the name, so I guess it's able to lookup the name from the DNS 
server. So I'm not sure what's going wrong here..
