Hi!

I have a problem with ALSA too, till 2 days ago I was using oss
dmasound_mac, but now I'm using alsa, my machine is a:
iBook G3 900mhz with sarge DebianGNU/Linux

The problem is that when I boot system and log a tty or X session the
volume is veeery low, and I have no mixer control.
Another man with my same problem told me he found in google the problem
and the only thing that correct it is restarting ALSA, so when I make
/etc/init.d/alsa force-stop && /etc/init.d/alsa restart
then I can control the mixer and volume, and alsa works OK, in all
software like mpg321 or ogg123, video players etc, but xmms and
beep-media-player alsa output makes the playback go faster, and sounds
bad.

Well, the 'big' problem now is that I need to restart ALSA to get mixer
control, If I can send some information please tell me, I dont know what
could help.

Bye, and thanks.
