Well, it will work because I've done it before. :) Just put "brokenosx" in your yaboot.conf file (apparently it doesn't really matter where) and run ybin again. I don't know why the author of yaboot calls it "broken" because apparently it's required (from what I've heard) to boot OS X on an HFS+ partition. In my experience, running OS X on UFS is by far the more broken of the two options. Many apps simply won't run. But whatever. This option tells yaboot to ignore the normal System folder blessing rules and just load OS X directly when you select the x option in the boot menu. That way, the OS 9 System folder can remain blessed (and selecting m in the boot menu boots it), but you can still boot OS X too. So I think then, to get this working, you need to select the OS 9 System folder in the Startup Disk control panel. I don't know about the "system hanging after it loads BootX," it certainly never did on my TiBook I 500. I'd suggest giving this a try, it worked for me. Wes Morgan
