Sven, The kernel should be appropriate for this processor. It is a 32-bit PPC604. I did not realize that the devfs option now is required. However, it did not help any: 0 > boot net:192.168.0.1,,192.168.0.2 console=ttyS0,9600n8 devfs=mount BOOTP S = 1 FILE: /vmlinuz-2.4.22-powerpc-chrp-rs6k.initrd Load Addr=0x4000 Max Size=0xbfc000 FINAL Packet Count = 5812 chrpboot starting: loaded at 0x00400000 initial ramdisk moving 0x3eb3000 <- 0x00578000 (14cc96 bytes) gunzipping (0x00010000 <- 0x00406c03:0x005770ba)... I am accessing the console through the serial port. Rolf -- Rolf Brudeseth pSeries Global Server Integration, IBM Enterprise Systems Group Austin, TX
