Hello Ben, When trying to apply grsecurity-1.9.13-2.4.24.patch on 2.4.24-ben1, I get the following failures:
X8----- # patch -p1 --dry-run < ../grsecurity-1.9.13-2.4.24.patch | grep FAILED Hunk #1 FAILED at 1. 1 out of 4 hunks FAILED -- saving rejects to file Makefile.rej Hunk #4 FAILED at 145. 1 out of 12 hunks FAILED -- saving rejects to file arch/i386/mm/fault.c.rej Hunk #5 FAILED at 701. Hunk #6 FAILED at 721. 2 out of 7 hunks FAILED -- saving rejects to file include/linux/mm.h.rej Hunk #1 FAILED at 26. 1 out of 2 hunks FAILED -- saving rejects to file kernel/printk.c.rej Hunk #11 FAILED at 696. 1 out of 20 hunks FAILED -- saving rejects to file mm/mmap.c.rej X8----- The Makefile failure is expected (EXTRAVERSION is already defined as "-ben1"), but I cannot figure out why arch/i386/mm/fault.c fails to apply on a tree that should only touche PPC stuff. This leaves 4 failed chunks. I have never gotten GrSecurity to successfully apply on your PowerMac tree, but would really appreciate finally being able to achieve it, as I'm trying to use it on all architectures in my cluster, so that I can duplicate configurations. Can you offer any help? Thanks! Regards, -- Martin-Éric Racine, ICT Consultant http://www.pp.fishpool.fi/~q-funk/
