Guido, you said reports welcome: i tried ravafb on my 12" g4 1.33Ghz Powerbook with NV34M GeForce Go5200 (rev a1) and its not working for me: - - with of fb compiled into the kernel as well as rivafb the framebuffer device gives always "Name : OFfb NVDA,Displ" and i cant control the tft brightness with pbbuttonsd. - - then i removed of fb device from my .config file, but now the tft stops with showing something like "openpic...."
btw i use 2.6.9 kernel at debian sarge. i tried "video=rivafb:[EMAIL PROTECTED]" as kernel parameter. i did not apply the patch sent by you because you said it will just solve a defect with console switching. next thing i will do is try the of patch for brightness control. if anybody got brightness control on a 12" g4 with my vga controller it would be very nice to see the kernel param as well as the .config file if it is special in any way (and the patches applied to make all that possible as well). yours, joerg - -- GnuPG Key and Fingerprint : http://www.shove-it.de/meinweb/joergpubkey03 GnuPG Key : gpg --keyserver www.keyserver.net --recv-key 76ECD5A7 S/MIME KEy : http://www.shove-it.de/meinweb/joerg_maier_smime.crt -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Thunderbird - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFBfpGYTYj8eXbs1acRApqFAJwM7dyom0KqnKukn9Xg0EoSrVufAgCeOn34 M0bsXPDps+XDRYMdYh7+rgY= =a+XU -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
