Known problem. I ran into the same issue. My solution was to stop portmap, and make /etc/init.d/portmap not executable, to keep it from starting at all. Apparently it's actually a FAM bug, and supposedly rebuilding it will produce a version that will work better. -- Derrik Pates [EMAIL PROTECTED]
