Im running Debian Linux for powerpc with Benh kernel 2.4.21 (installed pre-compiled for OW SCSI) on a Macintosh PowerPC 9600/300. I have some problems I would like to get some help with.

Heres the first problem: SCSI device dont show!

Output of lspci-vv shows that the system can see my SCSI card, Adaptec AIC-7881U.

00:0d.0 SCSI storage controller: Adaptec AIC-7881U
Control: I/O+ Mem+ BusMaster+ SpecCycle- MemWINV+ VGASnoop- ParErr- Stepping- SERR- FastB2B- Status: Cap- 66Mhz- UDF- FastB2B+ ParErr- DEVSEL=medium >TAbort- <TAbort- <MAbort- >SERR- <PERR-
Latency: 32 (2000ns min, 2000ns max), cache line size 08
Interrupt: pin A routed to IRQ 23
        Region 0: I/O ports at 1000 [size=256]
        Region 1: Memory at 80800000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=4K]
Expansion ROM at 80810000 [disabled] [size=64K]

But if I look in /proc/scsi/ I see only the motherboard SCSI adapter.

Output of kernel boot log shows that the SCSI card is not found at all at boot:

Why is my card seen by lspci but not the kernel? And what is that 53C94 that I see at scsi1?

And this also gives that the IBM harddrive on the Adaptec card is not found at all. Should I do something with the HD to get it recognized?

I can also add that the HD comes up in Mac OS 9 without problem.

With hope for help
