Hi I have a "SmartDisk FireWire CD-R/W Drive" (the kernel reports it as TEAC CD-W28E) which works with kernel 2.4.19 (debian package). With kernels 2.4.21 (debian) and 2.4.21-ben2 it does no longer get recognized. I modprobe ohci1394 and sbp2, then the drive led's flash and the drive spins up, but the scsi subsystem does not recognise a drive. I'm not sure, but I think the IEE1394 bus recognises the drive, because there are some kernel messages when i plug and unplug the device.
Is this a general problem with the sbp2 or did I do something wrong? How can I help debugging this? gaudenz
