I don't know. When you're in the installer environment,
and you mount hda3 on /target, everything looks cool in
/target, right? You see vmlinux, boot, etc, bin, sbin?
The installer boots with the same kernel? That would seem
to rule out any module lack.
I am not sure. But, I am not that experienced with compiling my own kernel
and so on (and have NO experience with cross-compiling Linux). So, I
continued looking for A way (not THE way) to boot Debian on my Powerbook
and, finally, I succeeded:
I burnt a live-cd with the Gentoo PPC-distro, mounted /dev/hda3 and copied
that kernel to it.
Now, I can boot Debian from the automatically genertaed yaboot.conf.
In time, I will finetune my installation and build my own kernel.
