Hi all I'm running Debian 3.0 r1 on a Powerbook G4/867 MHz together with Mac OS X on the same disk (which is /dev/hda)
Mac OS X isn't booting anymore. It did several times successfully the last days since I installed Debian on the machine some days ago. No problem to boot Debian. At the Boot Menu I type x (meaning that I want to boot Mac OS X), the screen is turning to grey, the OS X wheel is starting to turn, and after a minute or so, the wheel stops moving and I'm thrown to a shell prompt, after a line saying: "enableClockSpreading returned with 0" I changed yaboot.conf a bit, ran "ybin -v": Nothing. Mac OS X still doesn't boot. The main partitions on /dev/hda: hda9=bootstrap hda10=swap hda11=/home hda12=/ hda13=hfs Partition hda14=hfs+ Partition, with Mac OS X on it. This is my current yaboot.conf: #################################################### ## yaboot.conf generated by yabootconfig 1.0.5 ## ## run: "man yaboot.conf" for details. Do not make changes until you have!! ## see also: /usr/share/doc/yaboot/examples for example configurations. ## ## For a dual-boot menu, add one or more of: ## bsd=/dev/hdaX, macos=/dev/hdaY, macosx=/dev/hdaZ boot=/dev/hda9 device=hd: partition=12 root=/dev/hda12 timeout=60 delay=60 install=/usr/lib/yaboot/yaboot magicboot=/usr/lib/yaboot/ofboot macosx=/dev/hda14 enablecdboot #icon=/home/shorty/large-penguin.mbicon fgcolor=yellow bgcolor=blue default=Linux defaultos=linux image=/vmlinux label=Linux read-only #################################################### Thanks a lot in anticipation.
