Hi all, I have an iBook 2.2, and I have a problem (or I think it is). When I write a cd (-r or -rw) with my iBook, I'm unable to use the system, because all disk access is denied (or better, it waits cdrecord).
I use nice --20 for cdrecord[1], but with my home system (an AMD k6-450), it works nicely. I miss something? Is it the correct way, or am I wrong? I'm using sarge, with cdrecord 2.0+a10-2. ¤ hdparm /dev/hda /dev/hda: multcount = 0 (off) IO_support = 0 (default 16-bit) unmaskirq = 1 (on) using_dma = 1 (on) keepsettings = 0 (off) readonly = 0 (off) readahead = 8 (on) geometry = 58140/16/63, sectors = 58605120, start = 0 [1] I tried with no renice, and the system acts as expected, but I don't know if it is a good choices. -- ()_() | Un OS per domarli, Un OS per trovarli, | +---- (°.°) | Un OS per ghermirli e nel buio incatenarli | +---+ 'm m' | Nella terra di Redmond, ove l'ombra cupa scende... | O | (___) | raffaele punto salmaso presso libero punto it
