        Hummm, actually, xpdf *does* show hyperlinks in documents. At
        least, for my Master's thesis, which I generate with pdflatex
        (with help of the hyperref package) I can click on all
        hyperlinks, internal to the document or not (that is, pointing
        to a document on the web).

        The only problems that I have with xpdf are:

        1 - its anti-aliasing is not as good as acroread's;
        2 - the user interface is not good also; it should probably
            use another widget toolkit and a redesign of the window;
        3 - it doesn't show transitions in pdf files (like those
            generated by PPower4), which makes it unfeasible for
            showing presentations -- acroread does fine here.
