I just had the exact same problem.  I had installed ben9 plus the sleep
patch and hte dual head OF hack for osx a few days previous.

Mine got to the point where it would freeze in OF in both operating
systems, and wouldn't even turn on half the time.  I called apple
support and shipped it off to them. (It got there this morning and
shipped back to me this evening.. yay for apple support!)

It seems like there might be an issue with the sleep patch.  My guess is
that the video card is overheating somehow, but it's just a guess.

Sure was sweet while it worked :)
