Your airport didn't find your access point. Maybe your essid doesn't match (note that unless you created a closed network, you don't need to fill it on the client, the card will pick the first network it finds). If you have a french airport card, note that you are limited to a subset of the available channels (from memory, it's 11 to 13 but I'm not too sure about it), so make sure your AP is setup for one of those.
