Sometimes when my 8500 is particularly busy with SCSI disk I/O in some ext2
filesystems, the system drops into the kmon debugger.
I'm afraid I don't know where it breaks because I don't have a debug build and
I'm not yet very hip to how to use kmon.
This is with 2.4.19 plus the powerpc patch. I've had this problem for several
kernel versions.
It doesn't appear to be an actual crash because I can type "x" to exit the
debugger and things carry on as normal. I don't need to reboot.
My 8500 has a 350 Mhz PowerLogix G4 CPU upgrade. The disk that's getting all
the I/O is on an Adaptec 29160 host bus adapter. There is I think 164 MB of
ram in the box.
