Would it be helpful of me to suggest that you can open the CD-ROM tray by
putting a straightened paperclip into the little hole by the CD tray?
I don't know what model of Mac you have, but on mine there is an "emergency
eject" button inside the machine, that you can press by poking something
through the little hole.
That's probably the most elite solution to your problem but if you just want to
get your CD open maybe this will suffice.
