Hi! after several weeks of trial and error I finally have a running woody system on my 9600 Powermac! Yay! (Well - I didn't spend ALL my time on this project, to be honest :)
Thanks to everybody who helped me along the way during the last couple of months! I finally got the console to work using the "video=ofonly" kernel arguments. But what do they mean? I tried to figure it out looking at the fb/* sources, but they are a bit beyond my humble capabilities. Can it be explained to someone as ignorant as me? The next thing is setting up X, but I will start that tomorrow...
