My cdrom used to work. I just recompiled benh, and now my cdrom doesn't work.
I've tried it with ATAPI enabled and with only SCSI enabled. No luck. "eject"
reports "unable to find or open device for: 'cdrom'.

If I "modprobe -c | grep cdrom" I get:
path[cdrom]=/lib/modules/cdrom

But /lib/modules only contains the three directories for the kernel versions I
have recently compiled. If I force a link "ln -s
/lib/modules/2.4.20-pre7-ben0/kernel/drivers/cdrom /lib/modules/cdrom" then
"eject" reports a bad ioctl. (Maybe because my current boot is without ATAPI?).

I've looked through the recent archives and google. I'm sure there is a simple
fix, but I cannot find it. Any help? Any final word on whether I should have
ATAPI enabled? (Ideally I'd like to be able to use the cdrom and also the
burner. I can work on the DVD side later.)
