What kind of lockups did you used to have? I installed XFree86 4.2 and these DRI CVS snapshot packages yesterday and they worked fine on my iBook2 600. The speed difference in tuxkart was amazing and it was almost playable now. However I noticed this morning when I brought back the ibook from sleep that X lockups after 2-3 seconds. I have time to write ls and see half of the output but then it gets stuck. I can still move the mouse pointer but clicking as no effect whatsoever, ctrl-alt-backspace doesn't work either. Disabling DRI in XF86Config-4 makes the problem go away but it of course also makes tuxkart totally un-playable again. Is this a known problem?
