        No, it's a mace on-board card.

        I still suspect of (in)correct configuration in this case. I'd
        recommend the original poster some lower level analysis, like
        seeing if he can ping his gateway, see the arp table, etc.

        Some moons ago, BenH was working around some buggy revisions
        of the mace driver and it didn't handle arp correctly [1]. But
        it is working correctly for a long time now and I'd say that
        that's probably not the problem the original poster is seeing.

        Some messing around with arp, netstat and ping (all with IP
        addresses) would be in order, just in case. Manually fixing
        the IP address of the card as a dirty trick could also help.
