Uh, oh! :-) > But How do I have the trackpad disabled (or set to notap) as soon as > I type on the keyboard (as I see in OS X)? I think that I should have written "almost all the behaviours". :-) If I am not mistaken, BenH once said that he suspected that ignoring the trackpad while tapping is something probably related to some timeout that MacOS X implements. I don't think that trackpad supports this currently. At least it would be nice to have this timeout be implemented, say, via a /proc/sys entry (as it would be the case with the current modes of operation of trackpad). But I don't know if implementing this would be the start of one of those endless threads of "if this belongs to the kernel or to userspace". :-) Anyway, I do think that a feature like this would be nice to have in a cross platform way, since I also have the same problems with my old Compaq Armada V300.
