The kernel from nubus-pmac.sf.net is NOT an MkLinux kernel. MkLinux is a Linux kernel running as a server on top of Mach, and the kernel at nubus-pmac is a true native kernel port. I have 3 systems (PowerMac 6100s) with the nubus-pmac kernel running on them, and their floppy drives work fine. The kernel is known to support the SWIM3 floppy controller on those systems (also used in several others). Does 'fd' show up under 'Block devices:' in /proc/devices? Did you build a custom kernel for that system, or are you using one of the stock kernels posted on the site? -- Derrik Pates | Sysadmin, Douglas School | #linuxOS on EFnet [EMAIL PROTECTED] | District (dsdk12.net) | #linuxOS on OPN -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
