I've also tried to use "video=ati128fb,crt:1,lcd:0" in the kernel command line, but this doesn't change anything. BTW, should I set ati128fb or aty128fb? There doesn't seem to be any difference in the logs. The resolution is normally 1152x768 and /var/log/messages says in particular: ay kernel: aty128fb: Rage Mobility M3 (AGP) [chip rev 0x0] 8M 128-bit SDR SGRAM (1:1) ay kernel: Console: switching to colour frame buffer device 144x48 ay kernel: fb0: ATY Rage128 frame buffer device on PCI But when I try to force the resolution to 1024x768 with video=aty128fb:[EMAIL PROTECTED],crt:1,lcd:0 the "Console:" line is now: ay kernel: Console: switching to colour frame buffer device 80x30 and the LCD doesn't support that (I had to switch off). Is it normal? Why don't I get 128x48 instead? Are my problems with m3mirror are related to this? -- Vincent Lefèvre <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> - Web: <http://www.vinc17.org/> - 100% validated (X)HTML - Acorn Risc PC, Yellow Pig 17, Championnat International des Jeux Mathématiques et Logiques, TETRHEX, etc. Work: CR INRIA - computer arithmetic / SPACES project at LORIA -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
