I print pretty successfully to an HP laserjet 2100 (1200dpi!) using pap. The 2100 does not have ethernet - it is connected through an asante "AsanteTalk" localtalk to ethernet converter. Instead of going through the lpr setup, it is possible to simply issue a command something like this to send a postscript file to the laser printer: pap myfile.ps -p "My laser writer" Where the name of the printer is the apple talk printer name, as reported by the nbplkup program. (I think it is a -p option; I'm not at a netatalk-enabled machine at the moment.) -- Rory Campbell-Lange <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> <www.campbell-lange.net>
