Is there some way I could debug this? Should I see some kernel messages in the logs? I waited for at least 30s. I even tried in single user mode to be sure that no other process blocks the modem. I also unloaded all irda stuff (by the way this works, so macserial should be ok in principal). > > First thing, check your kernel logs.
