Hi, On 2.4.12 and up, I get a lot of "respawing too fast" for id 2-6, "disabling for 5 mins" messages. I looked in my /etc/inittab and the process for these ids was assigned to mingetty. Switching to getty for those solved the problem (I don't see these spurious messages on the console), but I was wondering if I need to give some peculiar option(s) on the inittab lines to avoid this error and to be able to continue using mingetty, which I really like for getting rid of the obnoxious penguin logo after startup.
