Better than perfectly? ;) Seriously, my experience with my Pismo has been the same as Wilhelm's, I never (deliberately ;) shut it down and take it in my rucksack wherever I go and haven't had any problems. I do occasionally hear it wake up, but it has always gone to sleep immediately afterwards.
